I have decided to add my old photos to the built-in Wordpress media library. I’m having some trouble with the gallery tag, as it completely refuses to order the images in any way I ask it to, but at least it displays them. Below is a list of links to new posts with photos.

Wordpress Updated

This site had been down for quite a while, after it had been hacked, and I simply disabled Wordpress. Now I’ve finally done the right thing and upgraded Wordpress to the latest version, 2.7, which rocks, and hopefully things will calm down now.

A big thanks goes out to Neil, and his mate Ed, for some SSH scriptery to remove all the iframe lines that had been added to my files.

Windows Live Writer

It’s part of the new (well, I’ve only seen it recently) Live Suite, and it’s a essentially a tool to publish from your desktop to your blog, supporting different blogs, like Spaces and Wordpress installations. I thought I’d give it a whirl, and as such, this is published with the very software.

Part of the same suite is Windows Live Mail, which I installed on my laptop and am quite pleased with so far. I wanted to try it on my main machine but for whatever reason, it seems to refuse to launch properly.

Also, my cat spilled a glass of wine on my keyboard the other day, and now my control key is sticky, and my full stop either doesn’t work at all or puts 3 stops…. (or 4 it seems)…

EDIT: I finally managed to get Windows Live Mail working, with the directions outlined here. Previously it had always gotten stuck on the "please wait while windows configures windows mail live" message when trying to launch. An annoyingly common problem as a quick googling would indicate.

Time to Upgrade

Christmas

It’s a curse as well as a boon. If, like us, you’re a little strapped for cash (and who isn’t around that time!), buying presents for friends and family can turn into more of a chore than the uplifting, spontaneous “thank you for being a friend/family member” action it’s supposed to be.

Having said that, choosing a present is often as difficult as paying for one (call me cynical). For that reason I’ve updated my Amazon wishlist (also here) once again. It contains a lot of cheap items that I’d nevertheless appreciate a lot. If you’ve got one of these list, by all means let me know!

Saturday, 3rd November marks our second fetish party at the Queen Charlotte. In an effort to top the previous party we bring you even more performances this time, courtesy of burlesque starlets Chrys Columbine and Vicky Butterfly, and rope experts Nawa Koneko.

All details are on the Achtung! website, as usual (click flyer above for link). This time we’re offering tickets for sale online directly on the site.

I’m really proud of how the first event went, and how well it was received, both in terms of attendance but also as far as emerging web presence goes. To say that I’m really looking forward to this event would be an understatement.

To those attending the Skin Two Rubber Ball in October: what better excuse to wear those expensive outfits again than here!
