The next Dark Metal Mass will take place on Friday 15th December, and will be in the Marquee – mark it in your calendars!

Promo material presented on the night includes the new Satyricon album from Roadrunner Records. It’s entitled Now, Diabolical and it kicks derrière.

If you’ve got any requests for rare or obscure material, let me know in advance and I will see if I can dig it out somewhere from my vast vaults of delectable delights.

Friday 9th June at the Murderer’s!

The date and location for the next Dark Metal Mass are now confirmed, and we’re back at the same place as the first one! I hope to see you there for another excellent night of (melodic) death, black and oher interesting (and less heard) metal. Starts at 8pm, with last orders at 12:30am! Large selection of drinks and comfortable surroundings (the wooden beams are great, the plate collection just funny.)

Meanwhile if you can suggest possible venues please go right ahead, or better yet, if you have the time to go ask those venues for free Fridays and them being ok with having death metal played, then that would be excellent.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have had to change venue for Dark Metal Mass I from the St Andrew’s Tavern to the Murderer’s Bar on Timber Hill. See their website here for directions and information.

Myself and some selected guests will be DJing downstairs at St Andrew’s Tavern at the aforementioned date, for a night of metal. We will be playing the likes of In Flames, Children of Bodom, Arch Enemy, Dark Tranquility, Nevermore, Dimmu Borgir, Opeth, Nile, Kreator, and such like. As you can see this night will be a little faster and a tad harder than your average club night. We feel that Norwich is very much missing out as far as this, more specialist, genre goes and we’re going to try and remedy that.

The night will be open to the first 50 people only. We will have to adhere to this rule strictly: no more than 50 people in at any time. You’ll be welcome to mill about upstairs until space becomes available, should it really get that busy, which is doubtful for this kind of music, and a first night.

If the night is a success, we will consider doing this on a more regular basis.
